There's no place like home

It's good to be home. Amy and I were warmly greeted by our girls. Maddy had been sleeping with some clothes that smelled like mommy and daddy. She told grammy that we always smell good to her. I know that feeling.

So we had a wonderful and blessed reunion with our girls today. We really missed them. It was great to see their reactions. I could tell that they were excited that we were home. Madalyn cried when Amy had to go to a meeting tonight. You could tell that she was so disappointed. I believe in that "distance makes the heart grow fonder" thing, even in regards to your children. And, I think it works on the parents and the kids. I love my girls, all of them, and I'm glad to be home!

I had a great quote e-mailed to me today about the economy. Pretty interesting, check it out:

You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
~~~ The late Dr. Adrian Rogers , 1931 to 2005 ~~~
Good thought there.
I'm going back to working on the old sermon now. There's no place like home!
